The whole point of a portfolio is to show the work you have previously done but with this google docs example you’re just stating which work you have previously done it’s not literally showing the work you have done..So this is what I’m concerned about ?
Potential clients want to see the work previously done in your portfolio not you saying what you have done without proof…
That’s why On the website option you can show that ? ….

So, I have a Word doc or a PDF on my hard drive. I want my portfolio reader to be able to access and view it, but I don't want to post the entire document on the Google Doc. What's my solution?

Or, you could use things like Journo Portfolio. Despite ugly name the tool is perfect for both pro and beginner copywriters. It lets you build a pro-looking portfolio. Here's my neehs with a Google doc as your portfolio:
1. It tells your prospects you are very cheap.
2. You can't control the sharing if your prospects don't have gmail's. You are either sharing with everybody then, via a link share, or you don't.
3. Did I say it will most probably look ugly?
4. Have you tried to open a google doc on a phone, without being logged into a Google account? Or being logged in, it doesn't matter, it's horrendous.
Google docs is a good thing to scrap something for a month or two max. Otherwise you look like your aunty who wants to invest in Facebook because she heard the tech is cool.

Thank You. It was actually a very helpful video. I have been missing out on many potential projects because I didn't know how to make a POrtfolio. But now I have a basic understanding of it and with time, I am sure that I can make a killer portfolio.
Ps: One question. Should I include screenshots, in my portfolio of the websites my work has been published on?
